PREGNANCY AND MOTHERHOOD

Is motherhood or pregnancy not what you expected? Making the first call for help can be difficult. You may be struggling with pressures to be the "perfect" mom. You may not want to admit something is wrong, you may feel like a failure or not good enough as a mom or partner, you may hope this goes away by itself, or feel that you are weak if you ask for help. You may worry that others won’t understand.

Pregnancy, birth, and motherhood are major life events that impact relationships, sense of self, careers, and family. Therapy can provide clarity and support to adjust to these ever-changing transitions in a healthy way.

If you feel like something isn’t right, you don’t recognize yourself in the mirror, are worrying constantly, are in a deep fog, exhausted, feeling defeated, you’ve stopped seeing friends, or are crying all the time, it is OK to ask for help!

It is NOT your fault, you are NOT alone, there is nothing to be ashamed of or embarrassed about, this does NOT make you a bad mom, this has nothing to do with how much you love your child, you will get better!

Individual Therapy

I know how important the therapeutic relationship is for healing. I strive to provide a caring, authentic, and safe environment to set the stage for therapy. Feeling validated, heard, and understood are the most powerful tools in fighting against feelings of not being enough, alone, and overwhelmed.

I am especially committed to connecting with and supporting women who are struggling with issues of depression, anxiety, work and relationship conflict, pregnancy and postpartum stress, and adjustments throughout motherhood.

I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to achieving. I can help you ditch the supermom cape and embrace your sense of self, strengths, and imperfections in this crazy and wonderful world of motherhood.

"Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing we'll ever do."
